    Visit Civil War soldiers and learn about our American History.

    ROBINSON BATTERY (Civil War artillery group) will be doing cannon demonstrations as follows:

  • Pancake Eating Contests

    March 28th, Saturday

    1pm

    A fun activity for the whole family. See who can eat their plate of pancakes the fastest and be “pancake eating” champion! Sign up at the Maple Store. Children 12 & under, Women, and Men: 1st place Winners receive a trophy and $10 gift certificate, 2nd place – free ice cream or mini-donuts

  • Liturgical Dance: Penn Friends

    Local group of young ladies who share lyrical worship dance with the community.

    Enjoy music from a local musician. He will take song requests too.

    Enjoy music from a local musician with his young apprentices. His local students will be performing, including some children from the Olson family, owners of Maple Row Sugarhouse.

    Enjoy music from a local Bluegrass Band.

  • Horse-drawn Wagon Rides

    March 21st & 28th, Saturdays

    March 22nd & 29th, Sundays

    Enjoy Horse-drawn Wagon Rides by local farmer Ben Pion. Don’t forget to share your gratitude and donations are accepted for help of care for the horses.

Daily Activities

  • Free Sugarhouse tours every day. Step into a modern way of turning maple sap into pure maple syrup. Smell the sweet aroma and learn where your local food comes from. See how we use the latest technology, utilize efficiency, and save energy while making some of the best maple syrup in Southwest Michigan.

  • All farm animals come from local farmers in the community who have generously allowed us to share these sweet creatures with you during the festival.

  • Watch the Tharp family make maple syrup and maple sugar the way they did “back when”.

  • Take a ride on a horse-drawn wagon each day from 11am-2pm weather permitting.

  • Yes, All tours are self-guided. The Sugarhouse is open for all hours of the Festival.

  • It is FREE admission.

  • It is some of both.

  • You are on a farm, come prepared for mud and the weather.

  • Each year we accept sponsors for our event. The sponsors help pay for the pancake eating contest and re-enactments. We are very thankful for them and if your business is interested please reach out to Christy via email: info@maplerowsugarhouse.com

  • Yes! All gluten free food items (pancakes, fries, pulled pork sandwiches, maple beans, and more!) will be freshly made in a dedicated area of the building, away from the main line, and on designated GF equipment. Baked goods and other items that are made ahead of time, are made in gluten free kitchens and by families with celiac or an anaphylactic wheat allergy.

    The GF pancakes are also dairy free!


  • We have porta-potties for public use.

  • Yes. We take cash, card, or check.

  • Yes, we do.

  • Three Rivers, MI is 15 minutes from us and has a few hotels and few choices for food. Elkhart, IN is 20 minutes, has more hotels and plenty of food choices.
