Free Sugarhouse tours every day. Step into a modern way of turning maple sap into pure maple syrup. Smell the sweet aroma and learn where your local food comes from. See how we use the latest technology, utilize efficiency, and save energy while making some of the best maple syrup in Southwest Michigan.
Petting farm
All farm animals come from local farmers in the community who have generously allowed us to share these sweet creatures with you during the festival.
Living History Re-enactment
Get a tank full of sweet history
French colonial Maple Sugar Camp – Watch the Tharp family make maple syrup and maple sugar the way they did “back when”
Civil War Camp – visit Civil War soldiers and learn about our American History. Only March 18-19
Lumberjack Camp – visit lumberjacks and learn about Michigan lumberjack history. Only March 25-26
Pancake Eating Contest
A fun activity for the whole family. See who can eat their plate of pancakes the fastest and be “pancake eating” champion! Sign up at the Maple Store. Children 12 & under, Women, and Men: 1st place Winners receive a trophy and $20 gift certificate, 2nd place – free ice cream or mini-donuts
Talent Show
Have a “sweet talent” to share with us? Whether it is singing, telling jokes, magic tricks, drawing, cartwheels…..we want to see it. Do it by yourself or with someone. All are welcome. Sign up at the Maple Store. ****rules apply.
Maple Olympics
Experience maple sugaring in fast-forward. How quickly can your team complete the sugaring tasks?
Get together a team of 4 – 6, sign-up to win the following…. 1st place $50 gift certificate, 2nd place $25 gift certificate, 3rd place free maple ice cream or mini-donuts
